Reiki (pronounced Raykey) is a Japanese word meaning
Universal Life Force Energy that is guided for the purpose of healing. The origins
of Reiki lie in ancient Sanskrit teachings, but were rediscovered and developed
after many years of study, research and meditation by a 19th Century Japanese
Professor of Theology, Dr Mikao Usui.
Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive, hands
on therapy that is deeply relaxing and assists with healing the whole person.
It helps both body and mind whilst restoring balance and harmony to life.
What
is it good for, what are the benefits?
Reiki is a superb method for
both your personal development and increased ability to heal both yourself and
others.
It can be helpful in all types of physical challenges ie :
Joint pain
Low
energy levels

Back and neck pain
Skin
problems
Infertility
Bowel problems
It
is suitable for all ages and types of people. It is also wonderful for the animal
world, plant life and even the planet!
Reiki assists people experiencing
a change in their live i.e.:
"I first went to see Sue Ricks when I hurt my back whilst out
jogging. Having seen doctor over the years about my scoliosis, I knew
they couldn't help, so I look in the Yellow Pages and found Sue. When
I rang her I could stand up for about 5 seconds before the pain started
then escalated to the point where I had to lay down.
Sue gave me a treatment the next day (which was lovely), and said
that I should feel better in a few days and call her if I thought I
needed a further session! I felt slightly cheated here, I couldn't believe
she treated my condition so lightly or that she expected it to just
disappear in a few days!
Her confidence was well-founded, however, as the pain was much improved
the next day and 95% gone in a few days.
However I did go to see her again, but only because I had proof
of the effectiveness of reflexology (I knew nothing about it before)
but also because it has a systemic effect (so it benefits EVERYTHING
not just the bits that need repairing) and assists the body in it's
own healing without being invasive or toxic - ideal."
